I am thankful for…

I am thankful for my life and for the people that I share it with.  I am lucky to have family and friends who love and support me just as I am.  My family has never pushed me to follow the common or accepted path and has allowed me to dream and become my own person.  My friends have supported my decisions and reaffirmed who I am and my value in their lives.  I am thankful for rain and sun, for fuzzy friends and for good food.  I am thankful to have no regrets.  How can I have regrets when every experience I have had has led me to where I am now and I love my life and myself?  I am thankful for cozy cashmere sweaters, good red wine and Frye boots.  I am thankful to be born in a country where I have never known hunger and have always had the freedom to express my opinions.  I am thankful for good books, cozy chairs to read them in and cups of hot tea.  I am thankful for my health and the the freedom that good health gives me to live my life the way I want to live it.  I am thankful for opportunity and for the chance to seize opportunities.  I am thankful to be following my dream and moving to Paris, and for the support I have received from those who are close to me, and from strangers, as I embark on this journey.  I am thankful for dinners with friends, rainy days in bed, and kindness from strangers.  I am thankful for fear and for the strength and courage to overcome that fear.  I am thankful for laughter and I plan on laughing as much as possible.  I am thankful for this messy, tumultuous, delicious thing called life.  Thank you, life.  I am thankful.
