Looking Back on an Amazing Year!

It’s the last day of the year and it’s time for big changes.  Tomorrow I fly to Paris and to my new life there.  It has been a wild, crazy, busy year and I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the amazing experiences I had this year.  I started the year with a trip to New York and Atlanta for work and to see my brother.

There were some wild nights out in San Francisco followed by some necessary rest and cuddles with my favorite furry friends:

In May, I went to a photo shoot at this amazing house in Sonoma.  They even had an old tree swing!

With June came summer weather and summer produce.  Time to relax in the sunshine and to cook delicious, fresh meals:

For my good friend Kirstin’s birthday later that month, we spent some quality time up in Sonoma wine country and out on the West Marin coast.  I loved this weekend!

July brought a trip to Chicago for a very important 1st birthday, another buying trip to Atlanta, time spent outdoors in the sunshine, and healthy, summery meals with friends.

August brought my birthday and a big trip to Iceland, Finland and Brussels.  I caught up with dear, old friends, saw a lot of music, ate amazing food, swam in the thermal blue lagoon, and thoroughly enjoyed my two weeks of debauchery.

At the end of August we had a picnic for one of my favorite little girls.  For her birthday she received a make-up set.  I was the willing victim to her make-up artistry.

I treated myself to a few new fashion purchases and I treated myself to a make-up class.  At thirty-three, I finally know how to apply make-up and to ensure that I look my best.  I think I will do this again every ten years or so as my face changes.  I highly recommend it!

September and October brought more healthy end-of-summer meals, my visa for France and time spent organizing for the big move.

The end of November brought my last day of work, the move out of my house, and lots of goodbyes to my California family.
