Snowy Day in Paris

Monday was a long day.  It was made longer by a mix-up in scheduling.  I left my house at 6.20am and I did not arrive back in Paris until after 7.30pm.  During my trip home, it began to snow heavily and by the time I left the train it was quite cold and wet.

I scratched my original dinner plans in favor of something closer and stopped by the closest cafe.  It turned out to be exactly what I needed.  After a long and irritating day, I was reminded of why I love Paris and why I chose to live here and to embrace a long commute.

A little vin rouge, a bowl of hearty soup and the chance to watch Paris melt away in the snow were all I needed to shrug off my bad mood and remember why I moved here.
