Lovely Montmartre

IMG_4637Even though I’ve lived in Paris for eight months and traveled here numerous times before that, I have never made it to Montmartre before last week.  I’m in love.  Sure it’s touristy, but it’s also charming with cute little streets, amazing views and plenty of places to stop for a glass of wine on the terrace.  I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be in Paris.  Beginning in January I can do an internship or work on a consulting project instead of taking classes.  I have to admit that I relish the idea of having a job again (over being a student that is!) and having a regular paycheck.  However, I don’t know where that will happen and it might not be Paris.  In the meantime, I’m trying to soak up every last part of this city that I love and to visit all the places I have yet to see.  Montmartre and Versailles were first on my list.  Soon to come: Canal St Martin and Fontainbleu!

  1. Montmarte is my favorite place to go to in Paris, just being inside of the Sacre Couer puts the french ambiance into play. But how did you go to the top of Sacre Couer? I don’t remember there be a way to go up top. Hopefully one day soon I’ll be able to live in France again.
