Falling into Fall: Paris

It’s definitely not summer anymore.  Fall is coming to an end and winter will be here soon.  Yet I am so happy to be in Paris.  There are so many exciting things going on in Paris right now that I just don’t have enough time to see them all.  Here is a small snapshot of what I’ve been up to.  J’adore Paris!

alaia-lastI went to the Alaïa exhibit at the Palais Galliéra.  The dresses were beautiful with such incredible details, yet everything was wearable.  They were the kind of clothes a woman wants to wear.

IMG_5780I had incredible Israeli food from a new restaurant called Miznon in Le Marais.  One friend even described it as crack in a pita.  It’s that good.

IMG_5786At the Musée D’Art Moderne, I discovered a new favorite artist: Zeng Fanzhi.

The sun is setting early but Paris makes up for it by being so beautiful at night.

I warmed up with a big bowl of ramen from Kadoya on rue Sainte-Anne.  For those of you that don’t know, this street is like a little Japan town in Paris.  Lots and lots of Japanese restaurants.

The Miss Dior exhibit at the Grand Palais is free and incredible.  Beautiful couture but also a wonderfully eclectic collection from other artists.

Plus the view from the Grand Palais isn’t bad!

I finished the week with a massive Portuguese seafood fest for a friend’s birthday.  Pedra Alta is a restaurant in the Boulogne area that has amazing seafood and takes no reservations.  People start lining up at 6pm and they open their doors at 6.30pm.  It’s worth the wait!

That’s my fall in a nutshell.  What have you been up to?

  1. I love that nighttime shot of the city! So beautiful :) I say I can’t wait for winter but after a few days of snow Pittsburgh pretty much shuts down, nobody knows how to drive and I don’t even want to leave my building. Haha!
