Lovely, Fleeting Spring in Paris

The past week has been sunny and warm in Paris.  It feels like Spring and everyone is outside all the time soaking up the long lost sun.  There are buds on the trees and a bit of greenery is beginning to appear.  Picnics, walks and terraces occupy all my spare time.  I know it is fleeting, I know the rain and the cold will return soon.  All the more reason to enjoy it while it is here.  Here is a glimpse into beautiful, springtime Paris.  Enjoy.

  1. Hi Vanessa, I found your blog by googling “move to Paris, don’t speak French”. Your blog is an inspiration. I have an opportunity to live there because my husband is Parisian. He still keeps his apartment there too. Things will be easier in some respects, but like you, I’m afraid to give up my job, leave my friends, my cat etc.. Any advice or encouragement would be appreciated. I live in San Francisco Bay Area.

    • Hi Katharine,

All I can say is that the experience has been one of the best in my life and I am very happy here. I love Paris and I love my life in this city. It’s not always easy but it is always exciting. You just need to be open to the culture, the city and to everything being new!

      I hope that helps!
