I would like to introduce you to the book I wrote, Hip in Paris. It is an insider guidebook to Paris that is now available on Amazon and iBooks. I decided to write this book because I am constantly being asked by friends and strangers where they should go in Paris that is not as touristy. In Hip in Paris, you can find out the best places to eat, drink, shop and wander if you want to experience life as a chic Parisian. Paris is a dynamic and modern city but too often tourists see only a ghost town. The tourist version is a place of the past with remarkable sights and classic food, but it is still the past. Locals do not spend time in Notre Dame or in the brasseries filled with foreigners. Instead, they visit one of the beautiful, vibrant restaurants with contemporary, seasonal food, and they stop in cool bars for creative cocktails. They shop local boutiques for gorgeous clothing (duh, that’s how they look so good!) and they visit local, lesser-known sites. This book tells you where to go so you can get a glimpse into real Paris life. Here are a few snapshots from the book.
